Easy Taco Stew

by Danielle

This is something that’s super easy, and it tastes amazing.

Taco stew is something you can put together for a family dinner night.

It tastes like tacos, but if you don’t feel like doing a taco dish, this is a great stew to try. It’s simple, hearty, and it comes with all the favorites, making it the ideal stew for you to enjoy.

The best part is that it doesn’t take long at all to put together, and it’s something that, with this, you’ll be able to create a really tasty, delectable dish that’s something you’ll be able to enjoy, without feeling guilty from it as well.

INGREDIENTS:

1 lb. lean ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 (15 1/4 ounce) can whole kernel corn, undrained
1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes with mild green chilies, undrained
1 (15 ounce) can pinto beans in chili sauce, undrained
1 (1 1/4 ounce) envelope taco seasoning
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can tomato soup, undiluted
1 cup water
baked corn tortilla chips (I prefer Doritos) or plain Doritos (I prefer Doritos)
cheddar cheese, grated

Steps

Heat up the oil in a skillet, browning the beef in the onions in it. You can also use a Dutch oven and then brown it. From there, you want to drain it.

Take all of the ingredients but the tortilla chips and the cheese, and from there, slowly add this to the onion and beef mixture, putting it all together. Make sure that everything’s properly stirred so that it’s incorporated.

Cook this on a medium heat until everything is totally heated up. This usually takes about twenty or thirty minutes to make this actually really come out to be the ideal texture that you’re going for.

If you want to serve it as-is, you can crumble a bit of the tortilla chips or the Doritos that you’re using, putting them in the serving bowls before you cover it with sme stew. Then, you can sprinkle this with some cheese. This allows the chips to soften, since this does offer a better texture to this than any other way to do this.

If you’re someone who likes certain kinds of beans, you can always substitute the beans called for in this recipe with them. kidney beans, pinto beans, and even black beans work in this case.

If you’re a fan of heat, you can also add some hot sauce to the contents to give it that extra dose of spicy. But if heat isn’t your thing, or if you’re making it for people who can’t handle spicy food, try to take out the chili sauce from this, and try to use other kinds of beans to make up for this. That way, you don’t have to worry about anyone burning their mouths with using this, and at the end of the day, then every single person is happy with the results that they get from this, and you have a great taco soup still.
