by Danielle

Cinnamon almonds are a great little snack that you can add to snack bowls for your guests. They’re also a tasty, savory snack that definitely is perfect for if you need something right away. The best part is that you can make these in the crock pot, so it takes almost no time whatsoever.

The beauty of these almonds too, is that they have the crunch that you can enjoy, along with the mouth-watering delectable taste of cinnamon that you won’t be able to get enough of, from the moment you get a taste of it.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 C. Sugar
1 1/2 C. Brown Sugar
3 Tbsp. Cinnamon
1/8 tsp. Salt
1 Egg White
2 tsp. vanilla
3 Cups Almonds
1/4 C. Water

Steps

First, you want to get a bowl that’s medium-sized and then mix together the two sugars, the salt, and the cinnamon. From there, once everything’s fully mixed you can put this to the side.

Get another bowl that’s medium-sized, and from there whisk the vanilla and the egg white until it becomes frothy, and something that you can enjoy.

Add in your almonds to the frothy mixture, and then, make sure that all of the almonds are coated in the mixture that’s with egg whites. Put the cinnamon mixture on top of the almond mixture, tossing all of these until they’re fully coated.

Then, spray the stoneware for your crock pot with cooking spray so that nothing sticks to the bottom.

Add the sugar and almond mixture to it, and from there give it another mix once more to make sure that everything is properly incorporated.

Cook on low for about 3-4 hours, stirring this every 20 minutes so that it’s all mixed together and not scarring the bottom of the crock pot.

Within the last hour, you should also add in about a quarter cup of the water to the mixture, stirring this together. This helps ensure the coating is crunchy and yummy. You want to make sure that you have at least another hour or so on the cooking clock to make sure that it gets that right crunch.

You will need to stir this really well during the cooking process, especially later on.

Take a baking sheet, line it with some parchment, and then put the almonds flat on there once they’re done. They will be sticky, so do grease this, and then, make sure that they’re separate so they don’t’ become mounds.

Give it one final 20-minute bake to really perfect the crunch to this. From there, you can serve them. you might want to wait on the serving bowl until they’re cooled to handle, or if you’re going to snack on them right away, make sure they’re cool enough to handle before you grab one and see for yourself the fruits of your efforts!

Try this interesting crock pot snack today, and use it for your next gathering, or if you want to have a savory snack on hand that melts in your mouth and stimulates the taste buds in a unique way.
