by Sarah

Creamy Peanut Butter Fudge is a luscious treat that stands as a testament to the timeless appeal of homemade confections. This particular recipe, a treasured heirloom from a beloved mother, is renowned for its exceptionally creamy texture and rich peanut butter flavor. It’s a perfect indulgence for those special moments or a delightful gift for loved ones.

Ingredients Selection:

  • Sugar: The combination of white and light brown sugar creates a perfect balance of sweetness and depth.
  • Butter: Choose high-quality butter for a richer flavor.
  • Evaporated Milk: This ingredient adds to the fudge’s creamy texture.
  • Marshmallow Creme: Acts as a sweetening agent and contributes to the fudge’s smooth consistency.
  • Peanut Butter: Opt for a good quality jar of peanut butter, creamy or chunky based on your texture preference.
  • Vanilla Extract: A hint of vanilla enhances the overall flavor.

Cooking Tips:

  1. Consistent Heat: Maintain a medium heat to avoid burning the sugar.
  2. Constant Stirring: Ensure continuous stirring while the mixture boils to prevent sticking and clumping.
  3. Timely Removal from Heat: Remove the saucepan from heat as soon as the boiling time is reached to avoid overcooking.

Variations and Substitutions:

  • Nut Butter: Almond or cashew butter can be used as a substitute for peanut butter.
  • Dairy-Free Version: Use dairy-free butter and a substitute for evaporated milk, like coconut milk.
  • Add-ins: Consider mixing in chopped nuts, chocolate chips, or a swirl of jelly for a twis
