Classic Buffalo Wings

Buffalo wings are the ultimate game day food, and they’re something so many people love to have. this is a very simple recipe, but it gives you that game-day goodness that you want out o your wings, and it’s in a way that’s super simple for everyone involved.

INGREDIENTS

2 lb. chicken wings

2 tbsp. Vegetable oil

1 tsp. garlic powder

Kosher salt

Freshly ground black pepper

1/4 c. hot sauce (such as Frank’s)

2 tbsp. honey

4 tbsp. butter

Ranch dressing, for serving

Carrot sticks, for serving

Celery sticks, for serving

Steps

Set the oven to 400 and then put a rack on top of a sheet to bake. In a big bowl, toss the wings together in the oil and then season this with salt, garlic powder, and pepper, transferring this to a baking sheet that’s prepared

Bake this for up to 60 minutes or until it’s got crispy skin and the chicken looks golden. Make sure to flip this halfway during the baking

In a small pan, whisk the honey and the hot sauce together. Let this simmer, then add butter in, and then cook this until the butter melts on the pan and is a bit less.

Heat up the broiler, put the wings in the bowl and toss the sauce together until it’s coated. Put this on the rack in the broiler and very carefully let this broil until the sauce has a caramelization going on it, usually after about 3 or so minutes.

Serve it with veggies and ranch dressing to create a great, wonderful dinner or game day dish.

Bayou can use any kind of hot sauce, but it’s important to make sure that you add a little bit of honey to this, and the butter as well. This is because the butter ends up thickening this, making it super tasty and great to have if you like the taste of that.

The best thing you should do with your wings is make sure that they’re crispy. Wings that are too moist usually aren’t as good, and the best way to achieve crispy 2ings is to put it in a baking sheet that’s rimmed on the wire rack in the oven. This helps with circulating this under the wing area, improving the cooking and making it more even.

When you’re ready to cook this, place them directly on a sheet, and put it in the oven at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes, and then broil it with the sauce afterwards.
