Chocolate Peanut Butter Poke Cake

Ingredients:

FOR THE CAKE:

1 box devil’s food cake, plus ingredients called for on the box

2 cups peanut butter, melted

1 cup chopped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups

1 cup Reese’s Pieces

FOR THE PEANUT BUTTER FROSTING:

1 cup peanut butter

10 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened to room temperature

2 cups powdered sugar

2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

¼ teaspoon kosher salt

2 tablespoons heavy cream

Directions:

Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.

Step 2: Line with parchment paper and apply with cooking spray in a 9×13-inch pan.

Step 3: Refer to the directions provided on the package of the cake on how to prepare it.

Step 4: Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean after inserting it in the middle.

Step 5: Remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool at room temperature for 25 minutes.

Step 6: Poke small holes on top of the cake.

Step 7: Spread the melted peanut butter all over the cake. Make sure to fill each hole.

Step 8: Meanwhile, make the frosting. In a large mixing bowl, add peanut butter and butter. Beat until well blended and creamy.

Step 9: Add vanilla, powdered sugar, and salt. Beat until well mixed.

Step 10: Add the cream gradually and beat continuously.

Step 11: Spread the frosting on top of the cake.

Step 12: Sprinkle Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

Step 13: Serve and enjoy!
